The Chocolate Milk Mile 2026 : Pinckney, MI
The Chocolate Milk Mile is a track event held in Pinckney, Michigan on June 11, 2026. The race consists of four laps of the track with a 12 ounce cup of chocolate milk to be consumed before each lap. The event includes two sections: an Open Mile and an Elite Mile. Registration fees are $15 for each section. Registration opens May 7, 2026 and closes June 10, 2026 for the Open section and June 7, 2026 for the Elite section. Bib pickup occurs on the day of the event. Results are hand timed and added the next day.
Competition rules require drinking each 12 ounce cup within a 20 meter buffer area called the "Kitchen" before the runner crosses the start/finish line for that lap. After finishing a cup, runners must turn the cup upside down over their head; failure to meet drinking or cup-turning rules results in disqualification. Excessive spillage may incur a warning and subsequent disqualification. Vomiting is permitted only on the final lap; earlier vomiting leads to disqualification. Normal track rules apply, including restrictions on lane use and unsportsmanlike conduct.
Open section awards are given to the top three men and top three women; a 400 meter champion prize is also awarded under stated conditions. The Elite section is limited to twelve entrants, split regionally, and features custom singlets, custom socks, athlete introductions, and team awards including a Golden Milk Jug.
