Course and on-site services
Courses run through Rowley and Hawkins Fruit Farms near Basin City. Routes travel on mostly hard-packed dirt with some gravel and farm roads and run down orchard rows. The 1-mile route is described as fairly flat, the 5k includes some hills, and the 10k passes by apple, peach, apricot, sweet cherry, and tart cherry blocks and open fields. The event lists nearby parking adjacent to the start and finish area, on-course water stations, and portable bathrooms. On-site offerings include a food court with farm products, a hayride tour of the blossoms, and children’s activities such as cherry water races and tether ball. Each registered participant receives a race t-shirt, a swag bag with farm products and a coupon to the Fresh Picks Fruit and Smoothies store, and a participation medal.
