The Fresh Picks Cherry Blossom Run
The Fresh Picks Cherry Blossom Run takes place at the Rowley and Hawkins Fruit Farms in Basin City, Washington. This agricultural setting is one of the few remaining tart cherry farms in the Pacific Northwest, with a history of farming in the Columbia Basin for over 40 years. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, coinciding with the seasonal blooming of the cherry trees.
The course is designed to lead participants directly through the cherry blossoms across the farm property. The event is open to individuals of all ages and skill levels, including children and older adults. Participants are permitted to use running or jogging strollers on the course. For those who prefer not to run or walk, a hayride wagon is available to provide a mini farm tour through the blossoms.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 1 mile
- 5 km
- 10 km
The event serves both competitive and recreational purposes. For competitive runners, the races are timed using a chip system integrated into the athlete's bib. Recreational participants may choose to walk, jog, or run at their own pace without the pressure of competition. Facilities including bathrooms and food options are available both at the main event area and along the course. Registration remains open until the day of the event, though early deadlines apply for those wishing to receive specific event merchandise such as shirts and medals.
