The Challenge Obstacle Run : West Jordan, UT

The event combines an obstacle course fun run, a festival, and a fundraising drive. The Foundation raised about $400,000 for classrooms last year, and this event is part of that effort.

The course includes a variety of obstacles such as climbing a wall, hurdling a barricade, navigating a 130 foot long and 16 foot high inflatable obstacle, and sliding down a hill. Participants do not have to complete every obstacle; alternate routes are available to bypass obstacles.

The event is presented as a family activity and is open to teachers, students, and community members. The organizer gives an age recommendation of anyone 8 and up, while noting that younger children have participated when accompanied by a parent or guardian. No formal training is required to take part.
