The Bank Heist Time Trial : Revelstoke Mountain Resort
The Bank Heist is an annual time trial run held at Revelstoke Mountain Resort on the Kill the Banker hiking trail. The 2026 edition is the eighth running of this event and follows the trail from the mid-station to the top of the Revelation Gondola.
The course covers 3.7 km with an elevation gain of 879 m and an average grade of 23.0%. The route is steep and rocky, passing through boulder fields and sub-alpine forest. A two-hour course time limit applies; participants who do not finish within the limit will be recorded as DNF and marshals will perform a course sweep and assist with safe exit points.
Entry is limited to 100 athletes. Online registration opens on August 12 and remains available until September 10 at midnight; an earlybird fee of $24 applies until August 19. A limited number of on-site spots may be available on a first-come first-served basis for $30 cash. Race packages include a bib, timing chip, a lift ticket if required, and Salomon promotional items; packages are collected from Guest Services and at the gondola base prior to the event.
Categories include Adult Male 19+, Adult Female 19+, Adult Open 19+, and Youth 15–18. Spectators can view the start zone and the Outpost finish area but require a valid sightseeing ticket for gondola access. Awards are presented at the Mackenzie Outpost with prizes for top times and bib-draw items; participants receive a drink ticket upon returning their timing chip.
