The Arc Grand Prix Run and Walk
The Arc Grand Prix Run and Walk is a charity running event held at Watkins Glen International, 2790 County Route 16, Watkins Glen, NY. The event benefits The Arc Chemung Schuyler and has been presented by Watkins Glen International since 2014.
Participants may choose among three course options:
- Track one lap, about 3.4 mile, timed.
- Track two laps, about 6.8 mile, timed, open to ages 13 and older.
- Pit Road one mile walk or run, not timed, finishes with track participants and includes a view of Victory Lane.
All registered participants receive a long sleeved performance crew t shirt in adult sizes S to 3XL or youth sizes S to L. Youth participants receive a finisher ribbon regardless of distance. Shirt size requests submitted after September 30 may not be guaranteed.
Awards are presented for the timed track courses. Medals are given to first through third place male and female finishers in age groups 5 to 9, 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and older. Medals are also awarded to the overall male and overall female winners. Award recipients may collect their medal directly from the awards table after finishing.
Packet pickup occurs on the two days before the event at Arnot Mall and on the day of the event at Watkins Glen International. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
