Event overview
The Arc Grand Prix Run and Walk is a charity footrace held at Watkins Glen International, 2790 County Route 16, Watkins Glen, NY. The 2026 edition takes place on October 31, 2026. The event is presented in support of The Arc Chemung-Schuyler, with proceeds benefiting local programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism. This presentation marks the 13th year of the event, which has been held on the WGI motor racing track since 2014.
Courses and awards
Participants may choose from the following distances:
- 3.4 miles (the full WGI race track including "the boot"; timed)
- 6.8 miles (two laps of the track; timed; for ages 13+)
- 1 mile Pit Road Walk (untimed; views of Victory Lane; finishes at the same line)
Medals are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers in each age bracket for the 3.4-mile and 6.8-mile courses. Age brackets are: 5–9, 10–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70+. Overall male and female winners also receive medals. Award winners may collect awards immediately from the awards table.
Logistics and participant items
Packet pickup is scheduled at Arnot Mall in the days before the event and on race day at Watkins Glen International. All participants receive a long-sleeved performance crew t-shirt (adult S–3XL; youth S–L). All youth participants receive a finisher ribbon. Registration includes categories for adults (ages 13+) and youth (ages 5–12) with early bird and pre-registration pricing tiers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
