The Arc Grand Prix Run and Walk at Watkins Glen International
The Arc Grand Prix Run and Walk is a charity race held at Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, New York on October 31, 2026. The event supports The Arc Chemung-Schuyler, with proceeds directed to programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism in the local community. Watkins Glen International has presented the event since 2014; 2026 is the 13th year.
The event offers three course options:
- 3.4 mile (5k-ish) one lap of the track, timed
- 6.8 mile (10k-ish) two laps of the track, timed, open to ages 13 and older
- 1 mile Pit Road Walk one mile course along Pit Road with a view of Victory Lane, not timed
The Track course follows the full race circuit and includes the section known as the boot. The Pit Road Walk finishes at the same finish line as the Track courses but does not cross the timing mat.
All participants receive a long sleeved performance crew t-shirt (adult sizes S to 3XL, youth S to L); shirt size requests received after September 30 may not be guaranteed. All youth participants receive a finisher ribbon. Age group medals are awarded for 1st through 3rd place male and female finishers in set age brackets for both the 3.4 mile and 6.8 mile courses, and overall male and female medals are awarded. Award winners may collect medals immediately at the awards table; there is no formal ceremony. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
