That's No Moon Trail Races - Cleveland National Forest
That's No Moon is a trail running event in the Cleveland National Forest and Santa Ana Mountains near Silverado, California. The courses follow forest roads and remote singletrack in Blackstar Canyon and other areas that can include very rough terrain and variable weather.
Distances offered
- 50 Mile - 9,440 ft gain, max elev 4,530 ft, 15 hour limit
- 50K - 5,469 ft gain, max elev 3,845 ft, 14 hour limit
- 30K - 2,899 ft gain, max elev 3,359 ft, 13 hour limit
Aid stations are staffed and provide food and fluids at multiple locations along each course. Runners must carry their own food, fluids, clothing and other supplies between aid stations and must carry a minimum of 40 oz of water. Lights are required for running after dark and may be required to finish if a runner is on course after dark.
Crew and pacer rules vary by distance: pacers are allowed in the 50 Mile race and crew access is restricted to specified aid locations for each distance. Drop bags are used at designated aid stations for the 50 Mile and 50K distances and may be left at the start for the 30K.
The 50 Mile event awards four Sterling Silver Tickets that guarantee entry to the following year’s Angeles Crest 100 for the top two male and top two female finishers, subject to entry fee and volunteer work requirements.
