That's No Moon Trail Races take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in the Cleveland National Forest and Santa Ana Mountains near Silverado, CA (Black Star Canyon area). The event offers these distances:
- 50 Mile
- 50K
- 30K
Courses run on single-track and 4x4 jeep trails through remote, rugged terrain. The routes include exposed ridgelines, steep climbs, and technical sections. Runners may encounter off-road vehicle traffic on some sections. The 50 Mile course lists about 9,440 ft total elevation gain and a maximum elevation near 4,530 ft. The 50K shows about 5,469 ft gain and max elevation 3,845 ft. The 30K shows about 2,899 ft gain and max elevation 3,359 ft.
Course and logistics
Aid stations are provided along each course; some are full stations and some offer water only. Crew access for the 50 Mile is allowed only at the Silverado aid station (mile 20.6). Pacers are permitted on the 50 Mile under stated conditions; pacers are not allowed for the 50K or 30K. Drop bags are available at specified aid stations for the 50 Mile and at Motorway for the 50K; 30K drop bags are only at the start/finish.
There are mandatory gear requirements: each runner must carry their own food, fluids, clothing, and at least 40 oz of water. Lights are required for running after dark. The 50 Mile awards Sterling Silver Tickets to the top two male and top two female finishers for guaranteed entry into the 2027 Angeles Crest 100, subject to additional requirements.
