That's No Moon Trail Races
That's No Moon Trail Races is a trail running event in the Cleveland National Forest and Santa Ana Mountains near Silverado, CA. The event offers the following distances:
- 50 Mile
- 50K
- 30K
Courses run on single track trails, forest roads, and 4x4 jeep trails through remote sections of the Santa Ana Mountains. The terrain is rough and can include technical sections, exposed ridgelines, and significant elevation gain. Off-road vehicle traffic may be encountered on some sections. Weather conditions can be variable in these remote locations.
The race emphasizes self-sufficiency. Runners must carry their own food, clothing, and supplies between aid stations and a minimum of 40 oz of water. Lights are required for running after dark. Aid stations are described as well stocked and provide radio communication at many locations. Drop bag, crew, and pacer policies differ by distance; pacers are allowed in the 50 mile event and crew access is limited to specific aid locations. Time limits are published for each distance.
Race services include chip timing, gender-specific race shirts (if ordered by the deadline), post-race food, finisher awards, and live split tracking. The event operates a cupless policy with reusable cups available for purchase or runners may bring their own. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
