Texas Roots (5k & 10k + 1-Mile)
Texas Roots is an inaugural community running event on October 10, 2026, at Mission Hike & Bike Trails, 1386 S Conway Ave., Mission, Texas. The event offers multiple distances and awards, and it includes race amenities and on-site services.

Packet pickup is scheduled for October 8. There is no packet pickup on race day. Participants receive a bib and a premium event shirt when available; shirt requests must meet a September 17 deadline, after which sizes are not guaranteed and shirts are distributed first come, first served at packet pickup.
The 5K and 10K use chip timing with live results. Each finisher earns an inaugural collectible medal celebrating Texas Roots. Awards include cash prizes for top male and female overall and age group awards in these divisions: 15 and under, 16–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 plus. A group registration discount of $5 applies for groups of 10 for the 5K or 10K.
On-site features listed by the organizer include a Texas-themed photo area by Nova Moments, snacks and hydration by Walmart, drinks by The Protein Hub, DJ music, and a financial literacy campaign sign-up booth.
