Texas Roots 5k & 10k
The event takes place on October 10, 2026 at Mission Hike & Bike Trails, 1386 S Conway Ave., Mission, Texas. It is presented as an inaugural community running event that includes multiple distances and collectible finisher medals celebrating Texas roots and regional culture.

Chip timing and live results are provided for the 5K and 10K races. Registration fees listed in the event information are $35 for the 5K, $40 for the 10K, and $15 for the 1 mile. A group discount of $5 applies for groups of 10 for either the 5K or the 10K.
Packet pickup is scheduled for October 8; there is no packet pickup on race day. A premium event shirt and bib are included with registration subject to a September 17 shirt deadline; after that date shirts are available at packet pickup on a first come, first served basis and sizes are not guaranteed.
Event amenities and features noted for the day include a Texas-themed photo area, snacks and hydration stations, stacked drinks and refreshers, DJ music, and a financial literacy campaign booth.
