About the race
The Teton Dam Marathon is an annual running event in Rexburg, Idaho, held around the first Saturday in June. The 2027 edition takes place on June 5, 2027. The event is timed to coincide with the anniversary of the 1976 Teton River Dam collapse, which on June 5, 1976 caused about $500 million in damage, resulted in eleven fatalities, and made thousands homeless in Wilford, Sugar City, Rexburg, Salem, Hibbard, Firth, Blackfoot, and Roberts.
