Teton Dam Marathon
The Teton Dam Marathon is an annual road race in Rexburg, Idaho, held around the anniversary of the 1976 Teton Dam collapse. The 2026 edition is scheduled for June 6 in Rexburg, with the event base listed at 35 N 1st East, Rexburg, ID 83440. The event traditionally takes place on the first Saturday in June and commonly draws over a thousand participants.
The race program includes several distances and formats to accommodate different kinds of entries. Course maps and past race results are maintained for the event. The race also commemorates the history of the local flooding caused by the dam failure: on June 5, 1976, the collapse caused roughly $500 million in damage, resulted in eleven deaths, and left thousands homeless across nearby communities including Wilford, Sugar City, Rexburg, Salem, Hibbard, Firth, Blackfoot, and Roberts. The timing of the event aligns with that anniversary.
Event categories listed for 2026 include:
- Marathon

- Marathon relay team
