Teton Dam Marathon
The Teton Dam Marathon is an annual set of road races held in Rexburg, Idaho around the first Saturday in June. The 2026 edition is scheduled for June 6. Events listed for the race day include a marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 10K, 5K, and a kids race for ages 12 and under.
The race is organized near the anniversary of the June 5, 1976 collapse of the Teton River Dam. That collapse released a large flood, caused approximately $500 million in damage, resulted in eleven deaths, and left thousands homeless in the towns of Wilford, Sugar City, Rexburg, Salem, Hibbard, Firth, Blackfoot, and Roberts. The event carries this historical connection and draws participants from across the country.
The listed venue address is 35 N 1st East, Rexburg, ID 83440. Race materials note participation by over a thousand runners in past years and include a course map and published race results. Information about categories and past results appears with the event details. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
