Teton Dam Marathon, Rexburg Idaho
The Teton Dam Marathon and Races take place annually in Rexburg, Idaho around the anniversary of the Teton Dam collapse. The 2026 edition is scheduled for June 6, 2026 and is based in downtown Rexburg at 35 N 1st East.
The event program includes several race distances to accommodate a range of participants and team entries. Distances and categories offered include:

The race commemorates the breaking of the Teton River Dam on June 5, 1976. That collapse unleashed a flood which caused $500 million in damage, resulted in eleven deaths, and left thousands homeless in Wilford, Sugar City, Rexburg, Salem, Hibbard, Firth, Blackfoot, and Roberts. The event is held around this anniversary in recognition of the community response and volunteer aid that followed the disaster.
