Central London : Terry Fox Run
The Central London Terry Fox Run is a free, non-competitive, family-friendly event on 13 September 2026 at Battersea Park Bandstand. It raises funds for cancer research for The Institute of Cancer Research. Participants may run, ride or walk set distances around the park.
The course starts and finishes at the Bandstand and is laid out as laps of 2.5 km on paved, flat paths. The route loops past the lagoon and sports fields and is described as scenic.
Distances
- 2.5 km lap
- Up to 10 km by completing up to four laps
On-site facilities include a life-size poster and a dedication board for photos and messages, baggage check, refreshments provided by the Four Seasons, a food truck and an ice cream truck, and additional vendors nearby. A raffle draw takes place after the event; winners must be present to claim prizes. Run day registration is available at the site, and advance registration is recommended because the park may reach capacity.
Getting to the park is possible by tube at Battersea Power Station, by train at Battersea Park or Queenstown Road stations, by a range of bus routes, and by car with car parks at Albert Gate, Chelsea Gate and Rosery Gate. Bike racks are available in the car parks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
