Tejas Beer 5K Run
The Tejas Beer 5K is an out and back running event held in Houston, Texas. The course starts and finishes at the Tejas Brewery, located at 2101 Summer Street. The route is well-marked and supported as it winds through the neighborhood surrounding the brewery and taproom, which offers views of the downtown Houston skyline.
Participants in this event receive a performance fabric race T-shirt and a custom finisher pint glass. The registration also includes four 8-ounce tastings of beer at the post-race gathering. Digital race photos are provided for free online following the event. Food trucks and an on-site kitchen are available for participants who wish to purchase food after the run.
Strollers are permitted on the course. The event features both competitive awards and random prize drawings. Custom awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as masters winners aged 40 and older. Additionally, awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in several age categories:
