Tejas Beer 5K
The Tejas Beer 5K is an out and back 5K that starts and finishes at Tejas Brewery, 2101 Summer St, Houston, TX 77007. The course runs around the brewery neighborhood and is described as a well marked and supported route. The event is listed as number 5 of the 2025 Texas 5k 6-Pack Beer Challenge.
Entry includes a custom finisher pint glass, four 8 oz tastings, an official performance fabric race T-shirt, and access to a well marked and supported course. A post-race party takes place at the Tejas Beer and Taproom. The brewery offers a view of downtown Houston and a kitchen with a menu for participants who wish to purchase food. Food trucks will be available for additional food options. Free race photos will be posted online after the event. Strollers are welcome.
Competitive awards are offered for top male and female overall and master 40 and up, plus custom awards for the top three male and female in these age groups: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and up. A random drawing for souvenir awards is held after the award ceremony.
General entry pricing is $60 through April 30, $65 through May 16, $70 after that, and $75 on race day. Minor pricing for under 21 is $45 through April 30, $50 through May 16, $55 after that, and $60 on race day. Packet pick up is scheduled at Tejas Brewery the day before the race and on race day.
