Event overview
The Team Red Shamrock Trail Challenge is the 15th annual trail race to benefit the Red Shamrock Foundation. It takes place in Coralville, Iowa, at Coralville Creekside Park (listed address: 3550 340th Street). The event is part of the No Coast Trail Series.

Course and race services
The 5K and 10 mile races share the same start and finish area. The 5K turns around at about the 2 mile point. The 10 mile course is an out-and-back route. Surfaces include grass, dirt single track, and paved trail. The route uses Cross, Flow, Clear Creek, Woodpecker, and other local trails and passes the Tom Harkin trailhead area. Leashed dogs are allowed on the course. The race will be chip-timed by Nonstop Race Management. Water and snacks will be available at the start/finish; flush toilets and running water are at the start/finish. An aid station is planned near the Tom Harkin trailhead.
Registration, fees and policies
Registration opens January 1, 2026. Early one-day pricing applies on January 1. Fee structure listed by the organizer: 5K ($20 Jan 1; higher fees on later dates and day-of), 10 mile ($30 Jan 1; higher fees later and day-of), and 1500M fun run ($15). The event has a no refunds and no bib transfers policy. Registered entrants may defer their entry to the 2027 race via UltraSignUp; the deferral request deadline is March 28, 2026. Pediatric cancer survivors receive free entry; a coupon code is available from the organizer.
Swag, awards and logistics
5K and 10 mile entries include a short-sleeve tee with an option to upgrade to a long-sleeve technical hooded tee. Top male and female winners receive a pair of running shoes from a sponsor; age-group awards are given across standard categories. Packet pick-up is scheduled at a local running store and also on race morning. A post-race gathering is planned at Field Day Brewing Co. in North Liberty.
