About the race
Team Breast Friends 5K Rack Run / Family Fun Run is a community event in Iowa City, Iowa, supporting local efforts to assist people affected by breast cancer. The event offers three participation options: 5K timed, 5K not timed, and a virtual 5K. Registration fee is $35 and is available through September 26.
Pre-race activities and a photo opportunity are scheduled on the day of the event, and packet pick up is offered in advance and on site. Packet pick up begins Thursday, Sept. 24 at Business & Financial Strategies, 2229 E. Grantview Lane, Suite 1, Coralville, IA 52241 from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM, and on the day of the event at Terry Trueblood Recreation Area, 4213 Sand Rd SE, Iowa City beginning at 8:30 AM. Race day registration is available for cash or check only, with a limited supply of shirts.
The course is described as a beautiful easy course with plenty of free parking. There will be multiple prizes and overall awards for the top male and top female timed runners.
