About the race
The Te Āpiti Traverse is a community running event on 19 September 2026 centred on the Te Āpiti region near Woodville in Manawatū - Tararua. The event offers four main courses that cross the ranges between the Manawatū and Tararua districts and use a mix of bush track, shared pathway, and road surfaces. Course profiles combine climbs, descents, and flat sections and present a variety of terrain and views alongside cultural and historical context for the area.

Entry fees are published in New Zealand dollars and include GST: Te Āpiti $175, The Ruahine $150, Te Ahu a Tūranga $100, The Downhill $50. All participants must check in at the registration desk at Ferry Reserve, Woodville on the morning of the event. Where courses start from different locations, event buses will transport participants from Ferry Reserve to the appropriate start line as required. The event is organised by the Woodville Lions Club, with Arohanui Hospice named as the primary beneficiary; remaining proceeds will be returned to the local community.
