  • 43 mile
  • 50 mile

Entry fees are listed as $75 for the 43 and 50 mile distances and $60 for the 21.5 mile distance. The organizer also states the course is not beginner friendly and describes it as very difficult.

Course and logistics

The route follows the Wapack Trail from Mt Watatic (MA) toward North Pack Mountain (NH). The trail includes rocky ledges, boulder fields, granite slabs, single-track with rocks and roots, and some short sections of fire road. Elevation is significant: about 4,600 feet of elevation gain one way, with the 50-mile option listed at roughly 10,800 feet of total elevation gain.

The trail is blazed with yellow triangle markers and will have minimal additional markings. Aid stations provide water and hydration product and are spaced so participants will not go more than about 7 to 7.5 miles without resupply; runners are advised to carry at least two bottles on longer distances. 43 and 50 mile participants are required to carry headlamps at the start. Check-in for the 43/50 mile race is at the DCR Mount Watatic Reservation entrance; 21.5 mile participants check in at the Fitchburg Sportsmen's Club and are bused to the northern terminus. Portable toilets will be available at parking areas and the 21.5 mile check-in. Timing is manual and full results are posted after the event.
