About the race
The Tamarack Homes Ottawa International Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, May 30, 2027, and is based at Ottawa City Hall (110 Laurier Ave W, Ottawa, Ontario). The course is certified and accepts Boston Marathon qualifying performances; the event carries a World Athletics Elite Label designation. Total event capacity is 6,000 participants.
Registration benefits noted by the organizer include a spinning marathon finisher medal, a personalized race bib for entrants registered before May 1, on-course Xact nutrition and hydration, professional race timing, recovery food and two weeks of free access to the Runna coaching app. Optional purchases and services include a souvenir race shirt, an iTab commemorative ribbon hanger, photography and videography packages, a subscription to iRun Digital Magazine and opportunities to fundraise for charity. A Green Bib option is available in place of mailed amenities to support the Desjardins Charity Challenge.
Course provisions include kilometre markers along the route; water and Xact stations approximately every 3 km with Cherry Berry and Lightly Lemon; Xact Nutrition points at 8.5 km, 22 km and 32.5 km offering fruit bars; cooling and misting stations; portable toilets at every water station; cheering and entertainment stations; and full medical services on course and at the finish. Strollers are not permitted. Marathon entrants are expected to meet checkpoint cutoffs and to complete the race within seven hours.
Information is provided for elite athlete applications and an adaptive athlete program that permits up to three guides and offers complimentary timed entry for guides via promo codes.
