The event weekend in Tacoma includes multiple race options across May 2 and 3, 2026. Distances and events offered include:

The weekend format includes the Ghost of Tacoma events on Saturday and the Tacoma City Marathon events on Sunday, allowing participants to combine races over two days. A discount is applied when the Ghost event and a Sunday race are registered together.
Course and support
Sunday’s Marathon and Half Marathon are point-to-point courses that cross the Narrows Bridge and finish at Dune Peninsula Park on Commencement Bay. The courses pass through Point Defiance Park and include a turnaround near the Thea Foss Waterway Esplanade. The Marathon and Half Marathon courses are USATF certified (WA22005RMB and WA22004RMB respectively). Aid stations and restroom facilities are located at numbered points on the course; several stations provide water and electrolyte, and some offer Honey Stinger. The Ghost of Tacoma course is measured and chip-timed but is not Boston-certified and has limited on-course support.
Registration and logistics
Registration packages include a finisher medal, a tech shirt for Sunday Marathon and Half, and a tri-blend shirt for Saturday events when ordered by the published cutoff. Collective bib messages and optional merchandise are available by specified deadlines. Entry fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be rolled over. Packet pickup is handled at the Silver Cloud Hotel Tacoma at Point Ruston. Shuttle service to the start requires a purchased bus ticket and a wristband; return shuttles from the finish are provided.
