Tacoma City Marathon - May 1 and May 2, 2027
The event weekend includes a series of road races hosted in Tacoma over two days: the Ghost of Tacoma on Saturday and the Tacoma City Marathon day on Sunday. Race options cover a full marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 10K, 5K and a Kids 1K, with opportunities to run more than one race across the weekend.

Sunday’s marathon and half marathon are USATF certified (Marathon WA26013RMB, Half WA22004RMB). The Sunday courses pass through Point Defiance Park, cross the Wilson Way Bridge, descend toward the waterfront and finish at Dune Peninsula Park with views of Puget Sound, the Olympic and Cascade ranges and Mt. Rainier. The marathon turnaround is along the Thea Foss Waterway Esplanade near the Museum of Glass.
Course support includes multiple aid stations offering water and electrolyte, portable toilets at specified mile locations, and finish-line medical services. Packet pickup is at Point Ruston Public Market in the days before the races; packets include a bib with timing chip and a gear check tag. Registration items listed include a finisher medal and race shirts; entry fees are non-refundable and the organizer may alter courses when necessary. Shuttle service to the start requires a purchased bus ticket while return shuttles from the finish are provided free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
