- Marathon; Half Marathon; 10K; 5K; Kids 1K; Marathon Relay
Sunday’s Marathon and Half Marathon are point-to-point courses that cross the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and finish at Dune Peninsula Park on Commencement Bay. The Sunday course is USATF certified and designated as Boston qualifying; it passes through Point Defiance Park, crosses the Wilson Way Bridge with a downhill section toward Puget Sound, and includes a turnaround near the Thea Foss Waterway and the Museum of Glass. Runners on the Marathon continue along the waterfront with views of Mt. Rainier and the Puget Sound.
Registration includes a finisher medal and a tech shirt for Sunday Marathon and Half Marathon entries (shirt size guaranteed if ordered by April 12). A collective bib custom message option is available for registrations made by April 7. A $40 discount applies to the Ghost of Tacoma when added to a Sunday Marathon or Half Marathon registration for the same person. Team discounts are available at set team sizes. All entry fees are nonrefundable; transfers and rollovers are not permitted.
The Ghost of Tacoma is chip-timed but not certified; it has limited course support, no mile markers, and one aid station at the turnaround. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for May 1 and May 2. The finish area offers food, water, medical support and on-site vendors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
