The Ghost of Tacoma events take place on Saturday and are chip-timed but are not certified for Boston or New York.
Course, logistics and entry
Sunday routes pass through Point Defiance Park, cross the Wilson Way Bridge, descend toward the waterfront and include a turnaround along the Thea Foss Waterway near the Museum of Glass. The Ghost of Tacoma courses run mostly on paved bike paths along the Puget Sound with several street crossings; that event has no mile markers and limited aid (one aid station at the turnaround).
Registration includes a finisher medal and a shirt (tech shirt for Sunday Marathon and Half; tri-blend for Saturday events). Shirt size is guaranteed if ordered by April 12. All entry fees are non-refundable and transfers are not allowed. Packet pickup is located at the Silver Cloud Hotel Tacoma at Point Ruston. Shuttle service to the start requires a purchased bus ticket; return shuttles from the finish are free. Finish-line amenities include food, water and medical support.
