Course and logistics

Sunday’s Marathon and Half are USATF-certified and Boston-qualifying point-to-point courses that cross the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and finish at Dune Peninsula Park. The route passes through Point Defiance Park and continues along waterfront sections with a turnaround near the Thea Foss Waterway and the Museum of Glass. The Ghost of Tacoma events use paved bike paths and sidewalks with limited support and one aid station at the turnaround. The Marathon has a six-hour course time limit; an early-start option exists for runners who require additional time. Aid stations along the Marathon and Half provide water, electrolyte, Honey Stinger fuel, and portable toilets. Packet pickup is held at the Silver Cloud Hotel Tacoma at Point Ruston; gear check is available and bags are transported to the finish. Shuttle service between finish and start requires a purchased bus ticket; return shuttles from the finish are free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
