About the race
The SwissCityMarathon - Lucerne is an annual running event held in Lucerne, Switzerland, traditionally on the last Sunday in October. The event offers several race formats and related activities in and around the city.
Distances:
- 42.195 km Marathon, which includes the Swiss Championships Marathon.
- 21 km Half marathon.
- 10 km CityRun, finishing at the Verkehrshaus der Schweiz (Swiss Museum of Transport).
- 10 km CharityRun with the stated motto "Laufend Gutes tun".
- 195 m Maratholino races for children, with starts in Luzern, Horw and Hergiswil.
Routes pass by Lucerne landmarks and provide views of the surrounding mountain panorama. The event features spectators and live music along parts of the course.
