About the race
The SwissCityMarathon - Lucerne is an annual road running event in the city of Lucerne. The programme includes multiple distances and community offerings:
- 42.195KM Marathon, which serves as Swiss Marathon Championships.
- 21KM Half marathon.
- 10KM CityRun.
- 10KM CharityRun.
- 195M Maratholino for children, with starts in Lucerne, Horw and Hergiswil.
Routes pass Lucerne landmarks, include views of the surrounding mountain panorama and feature live music and crowds along the course. The 10KM CityRun starts in Horw and runs through the old town to the finish arena at the Verkehrshaus der Schweiz.
