About the race
The 21st swb-Marathon Bremen takes place on 13 September 2026 and assembles several races through central Bremen with start and finish on the Marktplatz. The event includes a full marathon, an AOK half marathon, the HIRSCH 10 km run and an AOK children’s run. The children’s race is offered in two lengths: about 1000 m for children born 2017 and younger, and about 2000 m for children born 2013 to 2016; for children born 2022 and younger a companion can be booked. The course routes run past many city landmarks and green areas, including the Werdersee, Weserwehr, Botanischer Garten, Bürgerpark, Überseestadt, Schlachte, Weserstadion, Osterdeich and the historic Rathaus area.
The event reports a participant field of 15,000 for 2026. Registration is handled online via the official service provider, with the registration deadline on 30 August 2026. Entry fees vary by date; for the marathon the published tiers range from €59 to €99, for the half marathon €39 to €79, and for the 10 km from €29 to €55.
The AOK-Kinderlauf fee is €10. Included services in the start fee comprise start number and transponder timekeeping with an RFID easychip, secured and officially measured courses, on-course and finish refreshments, a finisher medal, and an online results service with finish video.
