Event details
The Swanley Christmas Caper is a running event on December 21, 2025, organised by Run Happy Run Healthy and based at Whiteoak Leisure Centre, Hilda May Ave, Swanley, Kent (BR8 7BT). The event distance is 4.2 miles. Entry is via LetsDoThis. All finishers receive a Christmas pudding and a medal. Prizes for the top three finishers are: a turkey for first place, a chicken for second place, and a vegetable selection with gravy for third place.
Course and logistics
The course starts near Whiteoak Leisure Centre, opposite the police station in Pioneer Way, and follows local roads through Bartholomew Way, Swanley Lane, Hextable, St Davids Road, Puddledock Lane, Birchwood Road, Leydenhatch Lane, Russett Way and London Road, finishing back toward Pioneer Way. Water is provided at the finish. Bags can be left at the start/finish area. Runners gather in Pioneer Way to collect race numbers before the start. Festive outfits and Christmas themed fancy dress are actively encouraged. Travel options include Swanley train station and bus routes 476 and 429; nearby parking includes Asda, Lidl and Whiteoak Leisure Centre.
