Suwanee Sweetheart Sprint 5K : event details
The Suwanee Sweetheart Sprint 5K takes place in Suwanee Town Center and includes a timed 5K and a kids fun run. The 5K is chip timed and is listed as a Peachtree qualifier. The course begins and ends at Suwanee Town Center, runs along Town Center Avenue and Boston Common, follows the greenway connector and Suwanee Creek Greenway to just past Annandale Lane where runners make a U-turn, then returns via Portland, Suwanee Avenue and Charleston to finish near City Hall.
The event includes the following distances:
- 5K Run
- Kids Fun Run two laps around the Suwanee Town Green
Awards are given to first place male and female overall and masters, with multiple age groups for male and female competitors from youth through 75 and older. Additional recognitions include Fastest Dog and Most Senior Finisher. A costume contest is planned with participants encouraged to wear Valentine's attire. Strollers and dogs are permitted at the back of the start area.
Packet pickup is offered prior to the event and on-site registration is available the day of the event. All participants in the Fun Run receive a t-shirt and a medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
