Sutter Buttes Spirit Mountain Run Half Marathon, 10K and 5K
The event takes place on May 16, 2026 at 7740 Butte House Rd, Sutter, CA. It comprises road races held through the center of the Sutter Buttes on Pass Road, using a paved route described as running through the smallest mountain range in the world.
Distances offered:
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 10K (6.2 Miles)
- Half marathon (13.1 Miles)
All courses begin on flat road and then follow a slight gradual rolling incline and a slight gradual rolling decline. Registration opens in late October 2025 and closes on April 17, 2026. Posted entry fees are $40 for the 5K, $50 for the 10K, and $60 for the half marathon.
Shirt and finish items vary by distance. 5K and 10K registrations include a short sleeve cotton t-shirt with an option to upgrade to a technical running shirt for $5. Half marathon registrations include a technical running shirt and all half marathon finishers receive a finisher's medal. T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after April 15.
All proceeds will benefit children and families in need in the Sutter/Yuba area. The event will take place rain or shine. There will be a racers breakfast at the finish line and there will be no vendors or beer and wine sales at the completion of the race.
