9th Annual Superhero 5k & Kids Dash
The 9th Annual Superhero 5k & Kids Dash takes place in Kingman, Arizona. This event serves as a fundraiser for the CASA Council of Mohave County, an organization that provides support for foster children in the local community. Proceeds help fund various needs for children in foster care, including athletic fees, summer camps, and therapeutic programs.
The event offers two distinct distances:
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 1 km Kids Dash
The course is primarily a desert run, with the majority of the route following main desert roads. Both races begin and end at White Cliffs Middle School. Participants start on the school grounds, transition into the desert landscape, and return to finish on the athletic track behind the school building. On-site parking is available in the White Cliffs Middle School parking lot.
Recognition is provided for the top male and female finishers overall, top master finishers (age 40+), and the top three finishers in each age division. Participants are encouraged to wear superhero or supervillain costumes, as awards are also given for the best attire. Race t-shirts are provided at bib pickup on a first-come, first-served basis, and post-race refreshments are available for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
