Sunset Circuits Outdoor Track Meet
The Finger Lakes Runners Club (FLRC) holds a low-key summer evening all comers track meet at Ithaca High School on the 400-meter track. The meet is open to all ages and abilities and includes both running and field events. Field events are provided with help from community partners and include long jump, high jump, shot put, and discus. There is ample free parking at the venue.
Events are organized with seeded heats run slow to fast, and heats are announced in advance. Timing is done by hand with a Time Machine rather than a fully automatic camera system. Spikes are permitted, with pyramid spikes recommended, and athletes must bring their own starting blocks if they want to use them. Relay registration occurs at the meet via a registration card.
Registration is online only and closes at noon on the day of the meet; there is no in-person registration. Fee structure includes non-member and member rates, a team or club per-runner fee, and zero-cost financial aid options. Participants, volunteers, and spectators are expected to follow the club code of conduct. The race director may modify or cancel the meet for hazardous environmental conditions in line with the event cancellation policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
