Sundown Dash
The Sundown Dash is the 15th annual running event held on July 29, 2026 at Monterey Park, 501 Rockport Rd, Janesville, WI 53548. The main course is a flat 5K (3.1 mile) route and the program includes race and nonrace options.
Event options include a 5K run, a 5K walk (untimed), a 5K virtual option, and a kids fun run that is not timed. Registration opens April 17, 2026. Several events list a registration deadline of June 5, 2026. Registration fees shown are $30 for the 5K events and $10 for the kids fun run. Participants receive professional race timing and results and an event shirt for registrations made before July 17.
The event is organized by the Chasing Chad non-profit. Chasing Chad raises funds for brain cancer patients and for brain cancer research while promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles. Fundraising is available through individual fundraisers and fundraising teams. Fundraising rewards include tickets for top fundraisers to the Chasing Chad Gala and tiered merchandise rewards for fundraising levels: $100 for running socks, $250 for a long sleeve Chasing Chad shirt, and $500 for an embroidered zip up.
