Sun City Ultra Triathlon 2027
The Sun City Ultra Triathlon takes place at Sun City Resort in Magong, North West on 1 May 2027. Swim legs are held in the resort dam with views of the Gary Player Golf Course. The event includes individual and relay entries and offers discounted accommodation for athletes at Sun City Resorts for the weekend.
Distances available:
- Sprint: 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run, minimum age 16.
- Standard: 1.5km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run, minimum age 17.
- Ultra: 2km swim, 80km cycle, 18km run, minimum age 18.
- Aquabike: 2km swim and 80km cycle, minimum age 18.
Relay teams are accepted for certain classes; team sizes range from 2 to 3 participants. Entry periods include Early Bird, Standard, and Late entries with differing fees. Example Early Bird fees include Sprint R720, Standard R1200, Aquabike R1480, and Ultra R2400. Standard and Late entry fees increase from those amounts. Temporary Triathlon South Africa day licence fees apply per class with sample amounts of R55 for Sprint, R134 for Standard, and R167 for Ultra.
Early and Standard entries include a race goodie bag and technical apparel; Late entries do not include a goodie bag or race apparel. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
