Sun City Ultra Triathlon - Sun City Resort, Magong
The Sun City Ultra Triathlon takes place on Saturday 1 May 2027 at Sun City Resort in Magong, North West. The event is a multi-distance triathlon with individual and relay team options. The swim takes place inside the resort dam and the venue offers views of the Gary Player Golf Course.
Distances offered include:
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km cycle, 5 km run - Min age 16.
- Standard: 1.5 km swim, 40 km cycle, 10 km run - Min age 17.
- Ultra: 2 km swim, 80 km cycle, 18 km run - Min age 18.
- Aquabike: 2 km swim, 80 km cycle - Min age 18.
Team entries are supported for several classes with teams of two or three participants. The event includes separate pensioner entry categories with age minimums from 60 years for certain classes.
Entry periods and benefits vary by date. Early bird, standard and late entry windows are advertised with different pricing. Early and standard entries include a goodie bag and technical race apparel, while late entries do not include those items. A temporary Triathlon South Africa day licence is required for nonmembers with class specific fees. Athletes are offered discounted accommodation rates at Sun City Resorts.
