The Summer Splash Prairie Dog Half, 10k, & 5k is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Castle Rock, Colorado. It is part of the Prairie Dog Half race series and runs along the East Plum Creek Trail. The event offers the following distances:

The listed venue is Castle View High School, 5254 N Meadows Dr, Castle Rock, CO 80109. Each registrant receives a race day shirt, a finisher's pint glass, chip timing, free photo downloads, and free GPS tracking. Half marathon finishers receive a finisher's medal. A gender-specific performance shirt is offered and shirt sizes are limited; an expo table is available for shirt exchanges on race day.
The race partners with Backpack Society as a charity partner; participants who bring five or more in-kind food items to the race day donation gathering are entered into a race-day raffle. Preferred donation items include cereal and granola bars, peanut butter and jelly, family-sized box crackers, canned tuna or chicken, pasta sauce, and pasta.
