Summer Solstice 10K & 5K - Beaver Creek
The Summer Solstice trail races take place on June 20, 2026 at Creekside Park in Beaver Creek and benefit the Vail Valley Charitable Fund. The event features trail courses for both a 10K and a 5K; the 2026 layout returns to Creekside Park and uses new red and white course markings.

Course statistics from the event GPX file list the longer course at about 11K (6.8 miles) with 986 feet of elevation gain, and the shorter course at about 5.8K (3.6 miles) with 710 feet of elevation gain. Surface mix varies by distance: the longer course is roughly 80% single track, 10% dirt or gravel roads and 10% paved roads; the shorter course is roughly 50% single track, 40% dirt or gravel roads and 10% paved roads. Reported high points are above 9,100 feet.
Aid stations provide water at all locations and Skratch Hydration Sport Drink at aid stations. The series encourages minimal waste and suggests reusable hydration. Finish-area provisions include donuts and fresh fruit, a warm breakfast burrito, and race t-shirts. Awards will be given to top three male and female finishers in specified age categories for each distance. All entrants are eligible for a post-race raffle; winners must be present to claim prizes. Online registration closes the day before the race; day-of in-person registration is also available. Parking is recommended at Villa Montane or Ford Hall parking structures in Beaver Creek.
