Summer Sizzler - Indianapolis
Summer Sizzler takes place on August 9, 2026 at Riverside Park, 2420 E Riverside Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46208. The event offers multiple race options and a virtual alternative.
Distances offered:
- 50 m Kids Dash (ages 10 and under)
- 1 Mile untimed
- 3.1 Miles (5K)
- 6.2 Miles (10K)
- 9.32 Miles (15K)
The Kids Dash includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a specially crafted medal; children may run on race day without swag for no fee. The 1 Mile is untimed and includes a custom bib, designer shirt, and finisher medal. The 5K, 10K, and 15K registrations include a custom bib, designer shirt, custom finisher medal, chip timing with live results, and awards. Youth pricing for the 5K and 10K is $17 for ages 12 and under.
The virtual option includes a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and shipping; packets are mailed and ship the Wednesday after the race. Virtual participants can upload times starting the day of the event and may upload photos to the participant album.
A Volunteer and Run option asks volunteers to arrive 30 minutes before packet pickup and allows them to run any distance afterward. Registration opened on December 1, 2024; some race categories have earlier closing dates. Team registrations include refunds: when four people register on a team each member receives a $5 refund, and when ten people register an additional $5 refund is applied for a total of $10. Register by midnight on the Thursday two Thursdays before race day to guarantee a shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
