Summer Sizzler - Indianapolis
The Summer Sizzler is a multi-distance running event held in Indianapolis. The event features several road race options and a virtual participation category. The following distances are available:
- 15K (9.32 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile
- Kids Dash (50m)
The 5K, 10K, and 15K races are chip-timed and include live results and awards. The 1 Mile and Kids Dash are untimed events. Specifically for the Kids Dash, children age 10 and under can participate for free if they do not require event merchandise. A virtual race option is also available, allowing participants to complete their chosen distance at any location and upload their timing and photos online.
Participants receive a designer shirt, a custom finisher medal, and a custom bib. Registration by the designated deadline (two Thursdays before the event) is required to guarantee a shirt. All participants have access to free event photos, refreshments at the finish line, and Kona Ice. A team registration system is available where members receive partial refunds once the team reaches a minimum of four or ten registered individuals.
