Summer Causeway Run & Walk
The Summer Causeway Run & Walk is scheduled for September 12, 2026. The event crosses the Queen Isabella Causeway from the Port Isabel Event & Cultural Center to Beach Waterpark on South Padre Island. Participants can experience coastal sunrise views and a finish-line celebration with food vendors, sponsor booths, music, and giveaways.
The event offers timed and untimed options and provides participant shirts and goodies while supplies last. A chip-timed 10K is included alongside a 5K run/walk. To improve participant flow, the 10K will use two start waves: a competitive wave and an open start. All 5K participants will begin together in a community-focused start.
Registration is open and early bird pricing is available through August 11, 2026. Groups of ten or more qualify for discounted pricing. The event is organized by the Port Isabel Chamber of Commerce and lists the Port Isabel Event & Cultural Center as the start location and Beach Waterpark as the finish location.
