Suffolk Mind Colour Rush 2026
The Colour Rush at Venue 16, Ipswich is a family fun run where participants start in white t shirts and walk, jog, or run through a series of coloured powder stations. Volunteers at the stations apply powdered paint aimed between the shoulders and knees. On finishing, participants receive a bespoke Colour Rush medal and contribute to Suffolk Mind and local mental health services.
There are two short routes to choose from:
- 3 km trail open to runners, joggers and walkers age 6+; children must be accompanied by an adult.
- 1.5 km trail open to runners, joggers and walkers age 4+; children must be accompanied by an adult.
The route runs mainly on mown grass and may be muddy or slippery in places. The organisers cannot guarantee full pushchair or wheelchair access, so the event is open to walkers and runners only. Guests are welcome and there is free parking on site. Food and drink, face painting and some retail items will be available to purchase at Venue 16.
The event uses Ministry of Colour powder, described as non toxic and made from corn starch and natural dyes. Sunglasses or goggles are recommended to reduce eye irritation. Participants with asthma or other respiratory conditions should consider whether the event is suitable for them or use a bandana or dust mask. Colour powder can stain clothing and hair; participants are advised to follow washing and care guidance after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
