Suffolk Mind Colour Rush 2026
Colour Rush is a family fun run organised by Suffolk Mind at Venue 16, Ipswich on 27 June 2026. Participants start in white t shirts and pass through multiple colour stations staffed by volunteers who apply powdered colour between the shoulders and knees. On crossing the finish line participants receive a bespoke Colour Rush medal.
There are two short trails to choose from:
- 3 km trail open to runners, joggers and walkers age 6+ (children must be accompanied by an adult)
- 1.5 km trail open to runners, joggers and walkers age 4+ (children must be accompanied by an adult)
The route is mainly on mown grass and may be muddy or slippery in places. The course cannot be guaranteed fully accessible for pushchairs or wheelchairs; spectators are welcome. There is free on site parking. Light refreshments will be available to purchase and additional vendors and entertainment such as a face painter are listed for the event. Rainbow accessories and branded t shirts are available to buy.
The event uses corn starch based colour powder supplied by Ministry of Colour which the organiser states is non toxic. Sunglasses or goggles are recommended to reduce eye irritation. The powder can stain clothing and hair; guidance is provided on washing and preserving coloured shirts. Assistance dogs and authorised security dogs are permitted only.
