Stride for Sight - Eagle Pass
Stride for Sight - Eagle Pass is a community 5K run and walk taking place on October 31, 2026, at the Sports Complex, 1325 Patsy Winn Blvd., Eagle Pass, TX. The event supports the Lions Sight Research Foundation and is organized in partnership with local Lions clubs and the City of Eagle Pass. Proceeds will be donated to the foundation to support vision care and services for people with visual impairment.
The event program includes a 5K Run and Walk. The 5K Fun Run is not chip timed. A race route is provided by the organizer.
A 5K Walk Costume Contest runs during the walk with separate Kids and Adults divisions. Prize awards in each division are: 1st place $75 gift card, 2nd place $50 gift card, and 3rd place $25 gift card. Contest rules require participants to be registered for the 5K Walk, specify that costumes should be family-friendly and safe for walking, and note that judges will consider creativity, originality, and humor. Winners will be announced after the walk.
Registration pricing for the 5K Fun Run is $10 until 10/22/26, $15 until 10/23/26, and $20 on race day. Child pricing is $5 for ages 6 to 13 with a paid adult, and ages 0 to 5 are free with a paid adult. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
