Streets of Portlaoise 5K 2026
Portlaoise AC organises the Streets of Portlaoise 5K as part of St Patrick’s Day events on March 17, 2026. The race follows a road course through Portlaoise and finishes in the town centre. The course is described as fast and relatively flat. A permit has been approved, cert.no: 25/694.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 5 km road race
- 700 m for ages 10 to 14
- 400 m for ages 5 to 9
Athletes must be 13 years of age on the day of the race to take part in the 5 km. Athletes who enter at the junior rate are eligible only for junior prizes. All finishers will receive a medal.
Ticketing options listed include adult and juvenile 5 km entries, a virtual entry that includes a t-shirt and postage, separate entries for the 700 m and 400 m races, and a race t-shirt.
