The Medtronic Streets of Galway 8K 2026
The Medtronic Streets of Galway is an 8 km road race in its 40th year, organised by Galway City Harriers and routed around the streets of Galway City. The event is described as bringing thousands of participants onto the city streets and suburbs.
The course is described as a fast and flat 8 km route passing through Galway City, Salthill and the Claddagh. Race start is at Fr Griffin Road and the race finishes at South Park. The event headquarters is at Claddagh Hall at Nimmos Pier.
Entry information on the event page lists an early bird fee of €25 for the first 400 entries and a standard fee of €30 thereafter, with an additional levy or fee applied at checkout. The race is restricted to those aged 16 or over on race day; no exceptions. Buggies and other wheeled vehicles are not permitted. A postal option is available for delivery of race numbers and T shirts. Participants are provided with a race T shirt and race refreshments.
