Stillwater Run and Ride
The Stillwater Run and Ride is a multi-sport event held in Columbus, Montana, starting and finishing at the Columbus Civic Center on Sheep Dip Road. The courses consist of a combination of paved surfaces and gravel or dirt roads. Participants can choose from several different athletic options:
- 10K Run (6.2 miles)
- 5K Run or Walk (3.1 miles)
- 7 Mile Bike Ride
- Kids Scavenger Hunt/Obstacle Course
The running events travel north along Sheep Dip Road. The 7 mile bike ride begins at the start of the Columbus/Molt Road by the old Highway, continues to Sheep Dip Road, and concludes at the Civic Center. Walkers are permitted on the 5K course. For younger participants, the event includes a scavenger hunt, obstacle course, and various games.
This event benefits Bridgemont Health and Wellness, a non-profit organization located in Stillwater County. The organization provides mental health and addiction treatment services to the local community. The proceeds help raise awareness for behavioral health needs in rural areas while offering an outdoor activity in a Montana setting. Prizes are awarded following the completion of the races.
