Stevi's Roost 48 Hour Ultra
This event is a 48 hour trail running and walking event held on a private pine forest farm near Sylvania, GA. Participants may run, walk, picnic, and camp on the property over the weekend. The course is a loop of roughly about 3 miles, described as a technical trail with single-track sections, narrow and slick boardwalks, many roots, sandy stretches, and an almost entirely flat profile. The loop is marked and the race uses live chip timing with on-course results.
Awards include a finisher's medal for completing at least one lap and a buckle for those who finish 100 miles. The event also features live music and a post-event award ceremony. A livestream is provided so observers can follow the event remotely.
Dogs are permitted if leashed, well behaved, and under the owner's control; owners must clean up after their animals. The event is hosted on land loaned by a local family.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Ogeechee Riverkeeper. That organization works across the watershed with scientific monitoring, community cleanup events, and legislative advocacy to support river and watershed health. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
