Event Information
The 2nd Annual Steps for Change: #EndOverdose takes place in Stayner, Ontario. It is a fundraising run hosted by Brad's Place Addiction Treatment of Southern Georgian Bay.
The community event is held to honour those lost to overdose and to support those still struggling. Funds raised support youth-focused addiction treatment and family support services in Southern Georgian Bay.
Three route options are available:
- 1K Remembrance Run/Walk: A family-friendly 1 km loop.
- 5km Community Challenge: A 5 km route.
- 10km Run: “Endurance for Awareness”: A 10 km run.
The event features opening remarks, a moment of remembrance, and information booths about overdose prevention and local resources. It aims to take a stand against stigma and advocate for better youth-specific addiction services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
