Step Out for Diabetes : 2026
Step Out for Diabetes is a community fundraising walk and run organized by the El Paso Center for Diabetes on November 7, 2026 at 1633 Cimarron Emporium, El Paso, TX. The event starts and finishes at Serve El Paso Pickleball and offers two course options:
- 1-Mile Fun Walk
- 5K Walk/Run
The event supports diabetes education, prevention, and local programs. The El Paso Center for Diabetes provides nutrition education, diabetes self-management programs, free A1C and blood glucose screenings, community outreach, and youth programs, and has served the El Paso region for more than 50 years. The fundraising goal for this event is $50,000; the listed amount raised is $0.00 and three participants are shown.
Registration fees vary by registration period. The organizer’s stated policies include no refunds on race entry fees, allowance for fee-based transfers to other events if available, and an option to purchase race insurance only during registration. Race bibs must be worn on the front outside of clothing for timing; improper bib use may prevent a recorded finish time. Participants using another person’s bib will be disqualified and may be prohibited from future organizer events for a specified period. Volunteer roles are available; volunteers receive an event t-shirt, snacks, and drinks. A promoter program offers $1 for each registration attributed to a promoter code.
