About the race
The Steel Run is an urban obstacle race in Differdange with a course of approximately 11 km that passes through unusual places in the town. The event includes individual timing with net time recorded via chips integrated in the race bibs and also a Team category where a team result is the sum of the three best times; a team must have at least three runners and one person may register for only one team.
Participation is open to anyone aged 14 and over without medical restrictions for endurance races; participants aged 14 to 18 must present a signed parental consent form when collecting their race number. The number of participants is limited and the organiser may close registrations early. Registration is possible online or on site, is non cancellable, and race numbers are assigned by the organiser.
Race services included in the entry fee cover a bib with integrated chip, refreshment points with water and fruit along the course and at the finish, medical assistance and first aid on the route, changing rooms and showers, lockers, and a finisher's t-shirt. Shared changing rooms are provided separately for men and women; organisers do not accept responsibility for theft. Medical teams and control posts may remove a competitor on medical or safety grounds.
The start, finish and race village are at Parc des Sports in Oberkorn. The course length may be altered for safety or operational reasons and runners must complete the full route to avoid disqualification. The event is organised by the local sports department.
