Statesman Capitol 10,000 (Cap10K)
The Statesman Capitol 10,000 is a 10K running event held in Austin, Texas. The 50th annual edition is scheduled for Sunday, April 11, 2027. The event includes both a live 10K and a virtual 10K and draws thousands of runners and walkers; it is presented as a family-friendly event through the cityscape of Austin.
Race weekend programming includes a Finish Line Festival with free massages, food vendors, cocktails, a kids zone, an autograph wall, live music, and photo opportunities. A two-day Health and Fitness Expo is held as part of the event for packet pick-up and industry exhibits in footwear, apparel, nutrition, and technology.
Organizers publish course resources such as a course map, aid station locations, corral start times, a course time limit, and race photography. A live tracking app provides race information, results, and photos on race day. Results and event photos are collected in an online hub titled Texas Champions. The event supports the Sustainable Food Center as a beneficiary.
