The Altra Kelly Benefits St. Patrick's Day Shamrock 5K takes place in Baltimore on March 15, 2026. The event includes the following distances:

The race is the first event in the Altra B3 Distance Series and is operated by Charm City Run Events. The in-person finish is at Power Plant Live! in the Inner Harbor area.
Course and rules
The USATF-certified 5K is a point-to-point course that starts at Charles and Mulberry Streets and finishes on Market Place between Pratt and Lombard Streets at Power Plant Live. The route follows the parade corridor south to Conway Street, east to Light Street, south to Key Highway to a turnaround near Jackson Street, and returns via Key Highway and Light Street to Pratt Street. Strollers, dogs, and wheeled devices are not allowed. The course time limit is 1 hour and 15 minutes, calculated from each wave crossing the start line.
Entry, packet pickup and virtual option
Packet pickup is offered at multiple Charm City Run store locations in the week before the race and a limited race-day pickup at Power Plant Live. Virtual participants may pick up swag at pickup locations or have packets mailed; virtual packets begin shipping on March 17. A bib mailing option for in-person entrants is available for an additional fee and closes February 23, 2026.
Awards and beneficiary
Overall awards are given to the top three Male, Female, and Non-Binary finishers and masters (40+) placements, with cash prizes for the top overall finishers. Age-group awards are given to the top three in standard age brackets; overall awards use gun time and age-group awards use net time. The event benefits St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore; 100% of extra donations added during registration are directed to that organization.
