The Altra Kelly Benefits St. Patrick's Day Shamrock 5K takes place in Baltimore, MD on Sunday, March 15, 2026. The event offers the following options:

The race is part of the 2026 Altra B3 Distance Series presented by Kelly Benefits. Entries include a 2026 premium and finisher medal and free downloadable race photos. A post-race celebration is held at Power Plant Live! and includes music on the main stage, post-race snacks, drawings from race partners, and a free first 21+ drink with non-alcoholic options available.
Course and logistics
The USATF-certified 5K is a point-to-point course that begins at Charles and Mulberry Streets and finishes on Market Place between Pratt and Lombard Streets at Power Plant Live. The route follows the parade corridor, including Light Street and Key Highway with a turnaround near Jackson Street. Strollers, dogs, and wheeled devices are not allowed. The course time limit is 1 hour and 15 minutes. Street closures near the start will be in effect on race day and the start line is approximately three quarters of a mile from the finish line.
Packet pickup is available at multiple Charm City Run locations in the days before the race and there is limited race-day pickup at Power Plant Live. Virtual participants may pick up packets or have them mailed beginning March 17.
Awards and beneficiary
Cash awards are given to the top three overall Male, Female, and Non-Binary finishers ($150, $100, $75) and to the first masters finishers (40 and over). Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in standard age brackets. Overall awards use gun time and age group awards use net time; no double dipping. Extra donations collected during registration are given 100% to St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
