St. Patrick's Day 5K Run / Community Walk
The St. Patrick's Day 5K Run / Community Walk, also called The Village Runner St. Patrick’s Day 5K Run & Leprechaun Dash for the Gold, takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Redondo Beach, California. The address is 1811 S. Catalina Ave., in the Riviera Village area. The event is hosted in partnership with South Bay Children’s Health Center, with proceeds supporting their programs for local children and families.
Participants can choose from several events:
- A 5K run/community walk.
- Kid's Dashes, separated by age groups: Ages 8-9 (1/4 mile), Ages 6-7 (1/4 mile), and Ages 4-5 (dash distance).
All participants receive a St. Patrick's Day Run t-shirt and a finisher's medal. The 5K event features computerized chip timing. There are age division awards, and cash prizes are given to the top three overall male and female runners in the 5K.
Packet pickup and late registration are available on March 13th from noon to 6pm at the HT Grill in Redondo Beach (1701 S. Catalina Ave.), and on race day beginning at 6:30am on Catalina Ave. near the starting line. The 5K run/walk begins at 8am. The Little Leprechaun Dash for the Gold heats start approximately at 9:30am (Ages 8-9), 9:35am (Ages 6-7), and 9:40am (Ages 4-5). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
