Event overview
The St. Paddy's Day 5K is a 5-kilometer run and walk held in Lynchburg, Virginia on March 14, 2026. The event is presented by Park View Community Mission and proceeds benefit the Food for Thought program, which provides weekend meals to food-insecure students. Timing will be provided by a professional timing company. The event is open to participants ages 8 and up.

All finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Registered 5K participants receive a unisex short-sleeve event t-shirt and a swag bag (register by February 16 to guarantee a shirt). Post-race food and an awards ceremony are planned. A special necklace is provided to the first 100 registrants.
Logistics and policies
Location and packet pickup: the start/finish area is at the DPO Grille courtyard, 10 9th Street, Lynchburg, VA 24504. Packet pickup is scheduled Friday, March 13 (at Riverside Runners, 2480 Rivermont Avenue) and on race day at Riverfront Park (start/finish location).
Registration fees vary by date, with discounted and promo periods noted in the event information. A family discount applies when signing up four or more participants; a Lynchburg Road Runners Club member discount is available during a specified period. Registration fees and purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable; if the in-person event is canceled, entries will be moved to a virtual event.
Parking is available along Jefferson Street, nearby city lots, and parking garages at 9th and Commerce Streets. Race policies: strollers for walkers start after the main race, headphones are not permitted, and pets are not allowed on the course.
