St Neots Riverside Runners Half Marathon
The event is a chip timed half marathon held in St Neots with race headquarters at Ernulf School, Barford Road, PE19 2SH. The half marathon uses a one-lap course on country roads that is described as slightly undulating, fully marshalled and policed. Runners must keep to the left hand side of the road unless instructed otherwise by a marshal.
Key race services include chip timing with live online results, technical T shirts for participants, medals for all finishers and prize awards for male and female overall places, age groups, teams and local competitors. There are drink stations at approximately 3, 6, 9 and 11 miles where bottled water is supplied. Bottle and gel drops are provided at several points; random dropping of bottles or gels will result in disqualification. The organisers operate under UKA rules and note that marshals and road closures will be removed after 2 hours 30 minutes.
Registration is on race day at the venue and race packs are collected in person. The minimum age to compete is 17 years on race day. A separate 3 km fun run takes place on a closed, multi-lap section; each finisher in the fun run receives a medal. Entries are limited to 2000 participants and entry fees differ for affiliated and non-affiliated runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
