St. John's Waltz Applefest 5K/10K Run
St. John's Waltz Applefest 5K/10K Run is a community road race held in New Boston, MI during the Huron Township Applefest. The event is a fundraiser hosted by St. John's Lutheran School, a faith based school, and all proceeds directly benefit the school.

The race begins just south of the bridge on Waltz Road and continues into Lower Huron Metropark. Runners follow a paved trail along the Huron River, double back at the halfway point, and finish at the New Boston bridge before town.
Logistics note that race day packet pick up is the only packet option and the packet tent is located just south of the bridge on Waltz Road. The 5K and 10K events are chip timed; participants pick up race numbers, shirts, and timing chips on the morning of the race. Race day registration is available and results are posted shortly after competitors finish.
Awards include cash and medals for top overall finishers in the 5K and 10K, race medals for all 5K and 10K participants, and participation medals for children in the 1 mile fun run.
