St. Helena Parish Family Fun Run/Walk
The St. Helena Parish Family Fun Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, at St. Helena's parking lot, 100 E. Bender Ave., Hobbs, NM. The event offers a timed 5K run and a 2 mile walk on a flat course that uses city streets and returns to the church parking lot.
Distances include:
- 5K (3.1 Miles) Run
- 2 Mile Walk
The route starts and finishes at St. Helena's parking lot and passes along Bender, Fowler, Clearfork, Gantt, Glorietta, Dal Paso, and Navajo streets. The run and walk are professionally timed and race results will be provided by Jack Rabbit Race Management. The event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, including those who use wheelchairs.
Entry fees are stated as $30 for pre-registration and $40 for day of race. T-shirts are provided to pre-registered participants; walk-up registrants may receive shirts while supplies last. Medals and awards are given to top male and female finishers in run and walk categories across multiple age divisions including 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
After the event there is a post race breakfast and door prizes held in the Bob Moran Building; winners must be present to collect prizes. A family fair with food and community activities follows the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
