Event Overview
The St Cyrus 10K is a running event hosted by St Cyrus Solos Running Club. This will be the sixth edition of the race. The event takes place in the coastal village of St Cyrus, starting and finishing at the park on Ecclesgreig Road.
Course and Timing
The course is described as undulating and scenic. It is accurately measured to a distance of 10 km. The race uses chip timing provided by Thistle Timing. It is held under Association of Running Clubs (ARC) rules.
Registration and Participation
Registration takes place at St Cyrus Village Hall. Participants must collect their own race number, with random ID checks conducted. The total number of entries is limited to 350. Participants must be 16 years of age or older on the race date. A time limit of 1 hour 45 minutes applies.
Sustainability and Amenities
Entrants are offered a choice between a race t-shirt or having a tree planted in their name through the Trees not Tees initiative. One water stop is provided on the route. First aid is provided by Scot Medical. Food, drinks, and toilets are available at the start and finish area.
Prizes and Logistics
Prizes are awarded to major category winners and teams. Club team entries must state their club during sign-up to qualify for team prizes. Parking is available in a field next to Ecclesgreig park, and car sharing is encouraged. The use of headphones is prohibited on the open public road course.
