St-Côme en Action
St-Côme en Action is a running and walking event held in Saint-Côme-Linière, Chaudière-Appalaches, on October 17. Past editions gathered more than 800 registrations and raised 5 000 $ for a regional organization, Parrainage Jeunesse.
Participants can choose among the following distances:
- 2.5 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 15 km
- 21.1 km
The event supports Parents d’Anges Beauce-Etchemins, an organization that provides accompaniment to families and loved ones affected by perinatal bereavement and works to raise awareness about this often little-known reality.
Included items depend on registration timing: a shirt is provided for people registered before September 9; the medal is included for those 12 and under registered before September 9 and optional for participants 13 and older who register before that date. Registration also includes a bib with chip timing, a snack, a runner's guide, and on-site animation and booths on event day.
A group-purchase promotion runs from December 18 to January 18 with discounts based on number of registrations: 10% for two, 15% for three, and 20% for four or more registrations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
