St Clears 10 and 5 mile Run for a Pie and Beer
The event is a community running event organised by TROTs in St Clears, Wales, with start and finish at the Coach & Horses Surgery car park in the centre of St Clears. It offers two distances.
- 10 mile
- 5 mile
Both routes use local country lanes and are described as intentionally avoiding flat sections. The course is hilly and includes Strava segments. The 10 mile route is a circular loop that passes through St Clears, New Mill and Llanddowror and includes three water stops. The 5 mile option follows the same initial route as the 10 mile before turning back at the first water stop located at the top of a climb; the return is mainly downhill.
All finishers receive a pie supplied by Deri Page Family Butchers; vegetarian and vegan pie options are available and can be indicated on entry. Runners also receive a bottle of beer or a non alcoholic alternative after the finish.
The event is listed as in person and the organiser states a no refunds policy. The description notes a scenic run through the town and surrounding lanes and refers to the inclusion of timed Strava segments on parts of the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
