Sri Chinmoy Half-Marathon
The Sri Chinmoy Half-Marathon takes place on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at Rockland Lake State Park in Valley Cottage, NY. This is the tenth annual running of the event, organized by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in cooperation with the New York State Parks System.
The course follows a scenic paved pathway around Rockland Lake and is USATF certified. The route begins with an approximately 1.3 mile out-and-back along the south end of the lake, followed by multiple clockwise laps of about 2.96 miles, finishing near Parking Field 5. The course is described as "pancake flat" and paced for fast times.
On-course and race-day amenities include bag check, aid stations approximately every mile, custom race shirts, and medals for all finishers. A post-race pancake breakfast is provided. Race packets can be shipped for a fee to US addresses; packet shipping is available through October 14 and packets ship on October 16. For those who do not choose shipping, packet pickup is available on race morning.
Entry fees increase in stages: $51.20 through September 28, $59.45 through October 16, and $66.65 through October 24. There is no race-day registration and entries cannot be transferred. Participants must be 16 or older on race day. Results are posted on the race webpage within 24 hours. If the event is cancelled for reasons beyond control it may be converted to a virtual race with giveaways and awards mailed to participants.
