Spyglass on the Ridge Wine Run 5k
The Spyglass on the Ridge Wine Run 5k takes place at Spyglass on the Ridge Winery in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. The venue, located in the rolling hills of central Pennsylvania, was originally a family farm and is now a winery, restaurant, concert venue, and event hall.
The event is a chip-timed 5k run or walk. J3 Timing provides the professional timing service, and results are posted online. The registration includes a t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a race bib, and a pour of wine.
Minors can participate at a discounted rate that includes the shirt, medal, and bib, but not the wine glass or wine pour. The race is open to ages 1-99. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each category. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground on the course. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed and are not allowed inside the winery building.
Packet pickup is on race day only, starting one hour before the event begins. Virtual participation is an option; registered participants can run their own course or transfer to a virtual race. Participants can sign up for a "Pennsylvania Wine Pass" for a 20% discount when registering for two or more events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
